  1. Saw first touch and was sure this kid would do great things. Instant fan.

  2. I see Zakaria as Tuchel’s last gift to us, he did well yesterday and I hope to see him play against Arsenal. Lets go blues!!!! KTBFFH

  3. I don’t know what was going on with him and Potter behind the scenes but he put in a proper shift last night. Was our best midfielder and I think he should be playing again soon. Probably the least controversial thing I will say on this site but I think Potter has gone about this all wrong and what he offered is something we have been desperate for so far this season.

  4. I believed on this guy since he was in Bundesliga. I’m sure he scored on his first match with juve alongside vlahovic. I don’t think he’s anywhere bad , I didn’t understand at all why graham didn’t give him a chance . If you ghost a player and you don’t tell the world the reason , it’s natural they would criticize you heavily.
I hope to see Ziyech to play too or best , he leaves to a team who will actually use him to the fullest. I don’t understand how you can just bench a player in his prime ( they loaned lukaku and sold Werner for cheap but they refused to sell ziyech or loan for him cheap and worse he gets benched whole time and at best given few minutes in every 3 matches )

  5. I was at the Bridge last night so happy I saw his debut he was great 👍🏼

  6. Loan players loving the club. Happened with Saul, Happening with Zak..

  7. What was that celebration though haha, wonder who his eyes were fixed on…

  8. I do wonder if his absence has had to do with gaining our level of match fitness, because he didn’t play for so long, he probably had A LOT of catching up to do!

  9. Hopefully Potter has been simply trying to bed him into the squad and prepare him as much as possible before throwing him in. It was a risk and arguably unnecessary given Kova’s risk of injury but if it helps him hit the ground running and maintain it then it’ll be worth it.

I had a sneaky suspicion when we brought him in that he could be more of a Kova loan than a Saul and now I’m excited to see what happens.

At the very least we now definitely know we have another viable option in midfield.

  10. I have a feeling he won’t start the next game against arsenal. Dontknow but it’s how things have been for some time at chelsea.

  11. Without getting carried away he offers way more than RLC imo his passing looks far more controlled and creative, he can shoot and is an aggressive tackler. The main thing is his decision making seems to be much better he should start vs arsenal for me.

  12. He brings a dimension to the midfield that we don’t really have. His height, physicality and pace in the midfield was really nice to see.

Clean up his positioning and we may be on to something. Wonder if this means Potter will give him more time or if he’s off in January regardless.

  13. Guy looked great even without the goalazo. I wonder why he has been on the bench so much. He really is a huge body that can move the lines as an extra man in the midfield. He sucks people towards him.

When he scored you could really see the opposition start to respect him more and follow him which shifted the lines even further.

I think this is why so many managers have been keen on a dynamic CDM like Rice. It really helped the side to have a bully.

  14. Won’t get carried away for obvious reasons but it was actually nice having a defensive midfielder who tracked runners, could keep up with transitions, and win the ball. Looking forward to more

  15. I didn’t catch the match but the goal was great. So much power. The way the team congratulated and huddled around him was very powerful to watch. Chillwel jumped on him with the familiarity of a long time team player. A crazy good story line would be if Zakaria emerges as the beast we need in mid field.

  16. He comes across lazy with his body language but he actually isn’t.

  17. Start him vs. Arsenal and watch him bully the fuck out of Xhaka and Ødegaard. I’m so serious. No more back 3 with Cucu LCB. Back 4 with him in a 3 man midfield. I don’t care if he isn’t quite match fit. Nothing more dangerous than a player who’s hungrier than everyone else on the pitch. Watch him eat.

  18. i’d give him the start in the EFL Cup game against Man City for sure. against Arsenal, idk. but he definitely played phenomenal today. congrats!

  19. If scoring a goal on your debut (that you waited very patiently for) isn’t a sign that you should start, I don’t know what is. And I’m not normally a superstitious guy!

Roll him out there alongside Jorginho and let J5 move up the pitch and pull some strings like he did with Sterling’s goal.
