  1. Smart to say to a manager your safe even if you dont Get top 4, Potter know is safe either way, what a boost for the team.

  2. I don’t want them to sign a single player before we’ve sorted out our recruitment staff.

  3. Normally I’d think “bullshit, there’s never business in January” but with this new regime I wouldn’t be surprised to see 2 or 3 signings and maybe 2 departures as well.

  4. Have the technical directors started working already? If not who is deciding the signing,

  5. Means nothing to me.

The owners and club are obviously not going to fire him over the break so there is only one thing to put out there to the media, “He has our total backing.”

This happens all the time in all sports, only for the coach to be fired a week later.

He will get a good run of games after the World Cup. But make no mistake, no one in the club is ok with how things are going. And no one will be ok if this play continues.

Rebuild or not, the quality of players in this club are 100% capable of finishing top 4, and top 6 at minimum. We are playing like a bottom table team.

Potter knows he needs to turn things around by mid February. He will be gone by March at the latest if he doesn’t.

  6. “Internally within the board and Ed Woodward they are trusting Ole Gunnar Solskjær, he’s considered the right man to bring his ideas and make United project great, they want to build with him for 2020 and more, United’s January window will be busy.”

  7. I’m glad we’ll be busy in January but I hope this doesn’t lead to us panic buying anyone as a stop gap for any position. Would rather stick to how the squad is today than bring in anyone who won’t help us long term. We do need a back RB though. That should be our biggest priority.

  8. Wonder if it might be better for Boehly and co. to engage the fans directly in a forum or something. Better than journalists or whoever do the talking for them.

  9. The players don’t want to be part of the ‘process’. We better hope that England go far in the World Cup because if not the media will full sensationalised stories. Mount does not want to extend. Kova, Kai and Pulisic don’t want to stay and Mendy sees the writing on the wall and is looking for a new team. You don’t have to believe it but media will run these stories at some point in the future.

  10. No January window is busy. Media just wants to make you think it is.

  11. >Chelsea have been very clear with Endrick and his family that their project is to build a team with future stars and think he can be a big part of their first-team by 2024, when he leaves Brazil.
